14. Donations and Charitable Contributions
Donations to Keep Hope Alive are voluntary and support our charitable and ministry activities.

The donation is not derived from unlawful activity;
-
The donation is not intended to obtain improper influence or control; and

You understand that donations may be subject to processing-provider terms.

A. Designated Donations
We will make reasonable efforts to use designated donations for their stated purpose. Unless a legally binding restriction has been accepted in writing by an authorized representative of Keep Hope Alive, the organization retains discretion and control over donated funds to ensure they are used consistently with its charitable mission, operational needs, and applicable law.
If a designated program becomes unavailable, completed, impracticable, or overfunded, Keep Hope Alive may seek permission to redirect the donation or may use the funds for a reasonably related charitable purpose when legally permitted.

B. Tax Deductibility
Do not assume that every payment, registration fee, merchandise purchase, or transfer to Keep Hope Alive is fully tax-deductible.
The deductibility of a contribution depends on:
-
Keep Hope Alive’s applicable tax status;
-
The nature of the contribution;
-
Whether goods or services were received;
-
The donor’s circumstances; and
-
Applicable tax law.

The Internal Revenue Service explains that donors generally need a written acknowledgment from a charitable organization to substantiate a contribution of $250 or more. It also imposes disclosure requirements for certain contributions exceeding $75 when the donor receives goods or services in return. [irs.gov], [irs.gov], [irs.gov]
Donors should consult a qualified tax professional concerning the deductibility and reporting of contributions.

C. Donation Acknowledgments
When appropriate, Keep Hope Alive may issue donation acknowledgments or receipts containing information such as:
-
Donor name;
-
Contribution date;
-
Contribution amount;
-
Description of donated property;
-
Statement regarding goods or services provided; and
-
Other information required for recordkeeping.
Keep Hope Alive generally does not assign a value to donated property on behalf of a donor. The Internal Revenue Service notes that additional rules may apply to noncash contributions and that a charitable organization’s acknowledgment of donated property does not represent agreement with the donor’s appraised value. [irs.gov], [irs.gov]

D. Refunds
Charitable donations are generally final and nonrefundable.
We may consider a refund when:
-
A duplicate transaction occurred;
-
An incorrect amount was processed;
-
The payment was unauthorized;
-
A technical error occurred;
-
Applicable law requires a refund; or
-
Keep Hope Alive determines that a refund is appropriate under the circumstances.

Refund requests should be submitted promptly to info@keephopealiveinc.com and should include sufficient transaction information for review.
Approval of a refund is not guaranteed.

E. Recurring Donations
If recurring donations are offered, you authorize the selected amount to be charged according to the stated schedule until the recurring authorization is canceled.
Cancellation instructions will be provided through the donation platform or may be requested from info@keephopealiveinc.com.
A cancellation will apply prospectively and may not reverse a donation already processed.

15. Fees and Purchases
Certain events, materials, registrations, or services may have associated costs.
When a fee applies:
-
The amount will be disclosed before payment;
-
Applicable processing charges may be identified separately;
-
Payment authorization must be provided by an authorized person;
-
Event-specific cancellation or refund terms may apply; and
-
A charitable deduction is not guaranteed.

Any refund or cancellation policy displayed for a specific event, item, or transaction is incorporated into these Terms for that transaction.

Consent for recurring or automated text messages will be obtained separately when required by law.

18. User Submissions
“User Submissions” include comments, messages, testimonies, photographs, videos, prayer requests, reviews, documents, suggestions, or other material you voluntarily submit.
You retain ownership of original content you create.
By intentionally submitting content for publication or public display, you grant Keep Hope Alive a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, format, and communicate that content for the purpose for which it was submitted.
