YOUR WALK WITH GOD

How to walk with GOD in turbulent times—HE is the Drawing, Applying, and Sustaining—anchored in the promises of Scripture and the unchanging character of JESUS.

Before we begin … I wanted to take the time to give you some updates on World events.

The following headlines from July 20, 2021, via "Rapture Ready," remind us of the turbulent times we live in and the urgency of our spiritual journey:

  • Canada Sanctions on "Circumcision": Proposed restrictions that could effectively ban brit milah, the ancient Jewish rite.

  • Cyber Warfare: The US accuses China of a massive Microsoft hack affecting 250,000 servers worldwide.

  • Geopolitical Tensions: China threatens full-scale war against Japan if they intervene in Taiwan; meanwhile, China builds 120 new ICBM silos in the desert.

  • Military Movements: The US moves 35 fighter jets closer to China for attack drills in a display of "strategic flexibility."

  • Environmental Crisis: Over 800 tons of dead sea life washed up in Tampa Bay due to "red tide."

  • Natural Disasters: Major flooding in Western Europe (Germany) with the death toll rising above 160.

  • Biblical Prophecy: On the 9th of Av, Netanyahu recalls Zechariah 8:4, pointing to the return of Israel to its homeland.

  • Unexplained Phenomena: The "Havana Syndrome" continues to affect diplomats worldwide with unexplained medical symptoms.

In a world of upheaval, the counsel remains: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5, KJV)

Understanding the "Walk"

To walk is more than just movement; it is a regular pace of lifting and setting down each foot. In a spiritual sense, it means to be guided, accompanied, escorted, shepherded, and led.

Proverbs 3:5-6 > "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Zechariah 3:7 tells us: "If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge... I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by."

REMEMBER: God is NOT willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Foundation: Proverbs 3:1–12 (KJV)

**“My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck...

The Three Elements of Your Walk

1. Drawing: The Gentle Pull of Love

God initiates the walk. He gently pulls or guides us toward Him.

  • Jeremiah 31:3: "I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

  • John 6:44: "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him."

  • The Invitation: Jesus calls to those who are heavy laden to find rest (Matthew 11:28-30).

2. Applying: Putting Faith into Action

To walk with God, we must bring His truth into contact with our lives and put it into action.

  • The New Birth: Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3-5).

  • Transformation: "Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2).

  • Newness of Life: Through baptism and the Spirit, we walk habitually in a new direction, abandoning our old ways (Romans 6:4).

3. Sustaining: The Strength to Continue

God supports us physically and mentally, ensuring we can endure until the end.

  • Perfect Peace: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee" (Isaiah 26:3).

  • Provision: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

  • The Promise: Jesus is preparing a place for us and will come again to receive us (John 14:1-3).

A Final Warning and Call

The scriptures in Revelation 22:7 remind us: "Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book." We are called to be watchful, to repent, and to hold fast.

TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION. When you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. Open it up and let Him in. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

"Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

All these things remind us of Jesus’ words:

“When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”Luke 21:28

We do not fear.

We walk with God.

2 Corinthians 5:7 > "(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)"
