PASSING THIS "TEST" CALLED LIFE!

PASSING this TEST called “LIFE” ………it is a “TIMED” TEST…… at the end as with any examination you are graded ….. and you either PASS or FAIL!!!!

Understanding Your Window of Time

Life is not random.

Life is not endless.

Life is not ungraded.

Life is a test. It is a timed test, and at the end—just like any examination—there is a result.

You either pass or fail.

2 Corinthians 5:10 — For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad..”

This reality becomes sobering when we pause to consider where we are in our window of time. That contemplation alone has the power to awaken gratitude, urgency, humility, and wisdom.

Time: The Framework of the Test

Time is defined as:

  1. The sequence of past, present, and future in which events occur.

  2. The finite duration of this present life, distinct from eternity.

From the moment we are born, the clock begins to move forward—never backward. Scripture reminds us that time is not chaotic but divinely ordered.

A God-Appointed Season for Everything

Ecclesiastes 3:1–11 (AMP) declares that:

  • There is a time for every purpose under heaven.

  • God has made everything beautiful in its time.

  • God has planted eternity in the human heart, even though we cannot fully grasp His plan from beginning to end.

This tension—living in time while sensing eternity—is intentional. It presses us to ask meaningful questions:

  • Why am I here?

  • What season am I in?

  • Am I living wisely within my allotted time?

Thought vs. Understanding

What is “thought

and “understood” does not

always equate to understanding.

Not everything we think we understand, and actually understood.

Proverbs 4:7 — “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

Understanding requires perception—the ability to interpret what we see, hear, and experience accurately. Thought can be vague or incorrect, Understanding implies correctness and clarity, Thought asks questions, Understanding answers them meaningfully.

Jesus rebuked people who could interpret the weather but not the spiritual times they were living in.

Interpreting the Present Time

Luke 12:54–56 (NIV)“You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?”

Passing the test of life requires spiritual perception—not just information.

The Fragility of Time

James 4:13–15 (NIV) reminds us:

  • We do not control tomorrow.

  • Life is a mist—here briefly, then gone.

  • The proper posture is humility: “If it is the Lord’s will…”

Time is not something we manage independently; it is something we steward under God’s authority.

Instruction Along the Way

From birth, we are flooded with information through our five senses:

  • Sight

  • Sound

  • Smell

  • Touch

  • Taste

We are taught:

  • What to do

  • What not to do

  • What matters

  • What doesn’t

But not all instruction leads to life. It is dependent upon the instruction implemented,

The Bible provides necessary instruction and divine correction—guidance not just for survival, but for eternal success.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)

The Way to Pass the Test

Some things are good to know.

Some things we should know.

Some things we must know.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” - John 3: 5 (KJV)

There must be a conversion and transformation.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God..” - John 3: 3 (KJV)

Jesus makes an exclusive and unmistakable claim:

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6 (NIV)

Allow Christ to lead your Life.

"17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17

The test of life is not about moral effort alone—it is about relationship and alignment.

The Problem: Sin Misses the Mark

The Bible explains why humanity struggles:

  • Sin (Greek: hamartia) means missing the mark.

  • Sin creates separation between God and man.

Jesus declares Himself to be the solution:

John 8:12 (KJV)

*“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,...

Do you desire prayer?

Do you desire salvation?

If you want to know Christ—and be known by Him—today is the day.

“Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” - 2 Corinthians 6:2

Replying to

Amen and amen. Life is indeed a sacred trust from God, and this timely reminder calls our hearts to sober reflection. Scripture tells us, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). When we pause to consider the seriousness of this life and the brevity of our days, we are drawn closer to walking intentionally with the Lord. Thank you for your response.

We are encouraged to live this life with eternal purpose, faithfulness, and obedience. May we all take heed and steward this life for the GLORY of GOD.

GLORY TO JESUS!!!!
